I do love using AI tools on some photos. Every image is a real person, place or thing. When I use them, I bounce from app to app and tool to tool so I cannot tell you an order and cannot generally recreate the piece.
For me, it's like painting. When I'm in the zone, I just paint, not thinking about a color I'm using at the moment.

PINK HIBISCUS | A photo of a pink hibiscus that I enhanced using various tools and 4 different apps. This piece took many days to create. A life filled with color is a cherished life.

SECOND CHANCES | One thing that helped, during Covid, was walking 5 miles every day in the neighborhood. On my two year 3,600+ mile journey, I shot things on the ground, not there the day before. After a big rain, this head on the ground was wet and had been run over. I cleaned her up - digitally speaking - as a tribute to the many lives lost during Covid and the ones who got a second chance after recovery, if not a little worse for wear, yet still beautiful.

BEACH UMBRELLAS_MODERN COASTAL | I shot this in 2010 in 105-degree Texas heat, under two beach umbrellas side by side, using the Hipstamatic app. I re-edited the photos in 2025 to emphasize the umbrellas taking on the shape of cubes. In this heat, the mind plays tricks that gives me great ideas, as I wait for technology to catch up.

Toy Boat floating in my pool | I shot it using the Hipstmatic App and edited it until I got the still life I wanted.

PINK HIBISCUS | I love flowers and shooting them on my daily walks during covid. They felt extra alive and hopeful when the world was in uncertainty.

Texas Star Reimagined, Texas State Fair | Sitting in the Skyway, shooting my surroundings, I imagine Dallas having a renaissance of sorts.
